Announcing Courion Enterprise Provisioning Suite™ Version 7.80
Courion is pleased to announce the availability of Courion Enterprise Provisioning Suite solution Version 7.80. This important new version delivers Courion's next generation platform, significantly advancing our strategy to provide the most flexible, easily used and maintained solutions.
The new platform features enhancements to the Courion architecture for even more deployment flexibility. The architectural enhancements enable increased availability and scalability and make it easier to deploy the Courion Enterprise Provisioning Suite through firewalls for access to remote systems.
This new version also includes further use of industry standards and new technologies. With this release, the Courion Enterprise Provisioning Suite now uses the .NET Framework and is based on a Services Oriented Architecture. There is increased usage of the Service Provisioning Markup Language (SPML) and the introduction of the use of Windows Management Instrumentation for storing configuration data. Now you can use any WMI aware tool (e.g., HP OpenView, Microsoft® System Center Operations Manager 2007, and CA Unicenter®) to view configuration data.
With Version 7.80 you have more deployment alternatives, gain further efficiencies in IT operations and can leverage these additional industry technology standards. Version 7.80 also delivers usability enhancements, easier system administration and improved performance for both systems administrators and end users.
Recognizing that architectural enhancements may present upgrade challenges, Courion has also invested significant effort in engineering Version 7.80 to be an easy upgrade. The upgrade effort for Version 7.80 is comparable to earlier upgrades within the 7.x series.
Finally the Courion connector library continues to grow rapidly. New connectors include RIM Blackberry, Microsoft Exchange 2007, Oracle Internet Directory Server, Citrix XenApp (formerly Citrix Presentation Server).
